Flappy Titan

In Flappy Titan, you play as a giant robot. Press spacebar to flap your robot arms!

This does nothing, because you’re a giant robot. Bulldoze through the pipes and watch your score counter go up in this trivial waste of time.

This was an entry in the 2014 Flappy Jam.

Flappy Titan is a parody of the inexplicably popular Flappy Bird.  My contributions to Flappy Titan include character art, production, and effects programming.  Much like Flappy Bird, Flappy Titan is very short on interesting gameplay.  Instead, we used this jam as an opportunity to experiment with visual humor and game feel, largely inspired by Jan Willem Nijman’s talk “The Art of Screenshake” .  Flappy Titan represents 12 hours of work, mostly in tweaking the visual effects.
